What Is the VX4A61100Y Main Control Board?

The Schneider VX4A61100Y is the main control (CPU) board for Altivar ATV61 drives in frame sizes 1 through 9. It handles the drive’s core processing, parameter storage, and communication. When this board fails, the drive may show no display, loss of communication, or an InF-series internal fault——not a terminal wiring symptom.

It is a CPU-level control board, not a terminal board or power board. Supplied as Tested replacement stock.

The main control board becomes the replacement target when CPU-level symptoms are present and external wiring/power have been excluded:

• No display / dead panel with power confirmed present — the drive receives supply but shows no indication. A CPU board fault can produce this.
• InF4 (Internal Fabrication Error) — Schneider defines InF4 as incoherent internal data on the EEPROM, and lists changing the control block as a resolution path。
• InF1 (power card mismatch) — the power board does not match the stored configuration. This can occur after a board swap without matching parameters.
• Persistent communication loss — the drive does not respond on its communication port, with cabling and settings verified.

Compatibility Check

Before ordering, confirm:

• Frame size — confirm the drive is Frame 1–9。 Frame 10–16 requires VX4A61101Y，not this board。
• Drive series — this board is for ATV61，not ATV71. The ATV71 equivalent is a different kit number。
• Firmware / parameter expectation — drive firmware cannot be upgraded in the field on ATV61/71。 If the replacement board carries a different parameter set, the drive’s stored configuration may need to be restored or matched after installation.
