Original ABB RVAR-5612 surge absorption and EMI filter board for ACS800 series drives. Installed on the AC input side of the drive power unit, this board serves as a transient overvoltage protection barrier for the DC bus and power circuit. It integrates high-energy metal oxide varistors (MOVs) and RC snubber circuits to absorb transient grid surge voltage, lightning impulse spikes, and switching voltage spikes generated by contactors or nearby power equipment. As a passive protection component, it requires no parameter configuration, communication setup, or software download – install and it is active.
